Here are just a couple of my favorites from last week’s engagement session. We had a fantastic time together, making some memorable engagement pictures on UGA’s North Campus, a little bit of downtown Athens, and then finally at Mama’s Boy. Sadly they weren’t open during our photo-shoot, so I made sure to pay them a visit the next morning. Athens is always a treat to photograph, especially at this time of year.

I love the simplicity of these images. Yet within the simplicity of this engagement session, there is a sense of calm, masculinity and love that shines through. These are just a few of my favorite images. View the rest of the session here.
It was a joy to photograph Addison and Chris’ engagement session in the Georgia countryside. They have spent countless hours together on this property, so it was only natural to also have their pictures here. It really doesn’t get much cuter than this folks. Pressed jeans, boots and a favorite ball cap. This just goes to show that whatever your style is – just be yourself in front of the camera. You’re going to look beautiful.
The University of Georgia is in full bloom this spring, which gave this gorgeous couple a great backdrop for their engagement session. I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites from the session – including the spring colors and sunset over downtown Athens. Cherish this weather folks, summer is around the corner.

I met up with these high-school sweethearts for an engagement session at the beautiful and rustic Vinewood Plantation. It began to rain during our shoot so we ventured into the barn, which turned out to be some of my favorite images. These two gorgeous people are to be wed later this year and I am honored they’ve chosen me as their photographer.
The Leica M9 is really turning out to be a great camera for my style. Do I miss focus at times, sure. It is forcing me to slow down and frame the image. Most importantly it’s less intimidating for my subjects and produces some great results. If you’re curious, I havent’ abandoned the DSLR; it’s just been put on the back-burner for when it’s needed in low-light, macro, and/or super long glass.
I had a blast running around my old stomping grounds photographing these two lovely clients for their engagement session. They picked the perfect outfits and gave each-other the cutest glances throughout the session. Here are some of my favorites from their shoot. Enjoy!
